The Mentors
Ella WalkerHi, my name is Ella Walker, I am a senior at FHS, and I am the President of Engineering Girl Power Society. I have been involved in the club since it began in my sophomore year and it has been amazing seeing the progress of the club. Within Freedom, I am the captain of the dance team, an ambassador for the Combatting Crohn's and Colitis and Asian American Alliance clubs, and a member of the National Honors Society. I have also danced recreationally and competitively for 15 years. In my free time I love to read and paint. I have applied as a civil engineering major for college with a potential minor in architectural studies. Architecture and STEM, in general, have always been passions of mine and I hope to instill these passions in our future generations through EGPS!
Jillian HalmMy name is Jillian or Jill! This is my third year in the Engineering Girl Power Society, with my first year in middle school as a participant in the program! I am a sophomore at Freedom High School and I am the secretary of the EGPS. In school, I am involved in the Science Fair, bell choir, and of course, Engineering Girl Power Society. In my free time, I like to ride my bike, bake, hike, and hang out with my dogs. I hope to enter the engineering field and create solutions to environmental issues around the world!

Liyana PaikerHi, my name is Liyana Paiker and I'm the VIce President of the Engineering Girl Power society. Along with EGPS, I'm also in band, orchestra, and tennis. Engineering has always been an interest of mine since I was little, and I have decided now to pursue a career in biomedical engineering, focusing on biomechanics and biotechnology. I'm hoping that this club inspires many young girls, like myself, to follow their passions and truly feel represented. Engineering is an evolving field that everyone, especially girls, should be able to explore for themselves!
Bella ApplegateHello, my name is Bella Applegate and I am the communications coordinator for the Engineering Girl Power Society. I am a sophomore at Freedom this year and I am involved in Freedom's Rifle Team and I am a figure skater at both Steel Ice and Municipal Ice Rink. I like to do a lot of things and I have a lot of hobbies but some of them are sewing, painting, drawing, and reading. I love being involved in engineering and it's one of my passions and I think it's great for teens to get involved with STEM. I look forward to being your mentor this year!

Mary AdodoadjiHi! My name is Mary Adodoadji, and I will be one of your Engineering Girl mentors! This year, I am a sophomore at Freedom and treasurer of the club. I enjoy baking, playing the piano, and volunteering. I am involved in the Freedom Patriot Band and part of the Freedom Environment Awareness Team (FEAT). When I joined EGPS in 8th grade, it was an impactful experience as a mentee. I gained so much knowledge of the engineering field while creating close relationships with the members. I look forward to serving as your mentor and hope this program will spark your interest in STEM!
